Background Art for the The Secret Life of Pets: Unleashed™ Mobile Game, owned by Illumination and EA. I worked for a studio that was contracted for the pre production of this match 3 game. None of my work ended up in the final game. But I was proud of it none the less. And learned a lot in the process. Originally there was talk of having 2D paintings for the backgrounds to mimic the movie's beautiful 3D scenes. But after I was off the project it was decided to use 3D instead. The game is adorable. Here is some of my work.

At the point I was working on this, the movie wasn't finished. And our studio was given rendered shots from the movie, as well as untextured environment scenes to work with as reference and paint over.
